Dusseldorf Motor Show: Renault SpaceNomad and Hippie Caviar Hotel VIP Vans Showcased

You can always count on a motor show to throw up something whacky and off-beat. At the Dusseldorf Motor Show, it was Renault's turn.

The French manufacturer has shown two versions of its Trafic van that have been turned into campers. Called the SpaceNomad (red) and the oddly-named Hippie Caviar Hotel (mint green/grey), they feature pop-up roofs, beds and even a fully-functional kitchen.

While the Hippie Caviar Hotel is a little too far out to be put into production, Renault says that the SpaceNomad will join its catalogue by the beginning of 2022. 

The Hippie Caviar, meanwhile, gives a taste of the VIP vans that Renault hopes to create with the arrival of the electric Trafic in 2022.
