Yohan Poonawalla Took Part in Salon Privé

Yohan Poonawalla took part in Salon Privé, UK’s premier annual Concours d’ Elegance with three cars – a Bentley Mark VI Light Touring Saloon (1949), Rolls-Royce 20HP Tourer (1927), and Rolls-Royce Phantom VI (1979). All 3 cars won major awards at the event 🏆

▪️ The 1949 Bentley Mark VI Light Touring Saloon by Hooper took home the ‘Duke of Marlborough Award’. It was originally owned by the Maharaja of Mysore; one of the car’s special features is the Perspex panel in the roof.

▪️ The 1927 Rolls Royce 20HP Tourer, with coachwork by Barker & Co, won the ‘Most Exceptional Coachwork Award’. was the first ever 20HP Rolls Royce brought into India as a trial or demo car fitted with three spare wheels (2 on the sides and one on the rear). The car was eventually bought by the Nawab of Sachin of the princely state of Surat Agency, Gujarat.

▪️ The 1979 Rolls-Royce Phantom VI picked up an award, too. It was used by Her Majesty, the Queen of England, on several occasions.
